RESPIRATORY HEALTH
Respiratory health, encompassing conditions like asthma, poses significant dangers if left unmanaged. Asthma, a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways, affects millions worldwide and is a leading cause of hospitalizations and emergency room visits. In India, the prevalence of asthma is substantial, with increasing urbanization, pollution, and occupational hazards contributing to its burden. Allergic rhinitis, commonly known as hay fever, is another prevalent respiratory condition characterized by inflammation of the nasal passages in response to allergen exposure. It affects millions worldwide and can significantly impact quality of life, causing symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and nasal itching.
Maintaining a healthy weight, eating a diet to support your condition, engaging in regular exercise, and practicing breathing exercises can improve lung function and respiratory muscle strength. Early detection, lifestyle modifications along with appropriate medical care are vital steps in safeguarding respiratory health and improving quality of life for individuals affected by these conditions.
